There is an inventive child within me who likes to explore the world. For me, the joy of traveling is being able to get lost on purpose, and open myself up to new experiences and cultures.

I don’t like routines. I like spontaneity and intensity, people, friends and friends of friends. Even my two cats Aslan and Bonjuk encourage my playful side when I get too serious.

I see the world through images and I am captivated by human emotion. Simplicity. The happiness of those I love the most brings me great joy.

I enjoy long lunches. That way I get to spend more time with the people I love. Time. No hurry. No rush.

Familiar smells and light make me feel at home.

I appreciate images that tell stories of people’s past, their emotions and their journey, and who they are in that one particular moment.

I like simple things. I like the fullness of love and emptiness of nature. A full glass, an empty street, a full fruit tree. Walking in nature in autumn – a season that hovers half way between life and death. My idea of perfection in nature might be Norway: a magical place with snow-capped mountains, a blue lake, and soft white light.

Spontaneous emotional outbursts. The gathering of people in intimate surroundings, given to moments of spontaneity, lightness and being. An occasion, a day of experimentation, a spiritual marriage.

To spend and enjoy time with family is to be happy. To love and be loved is the best thing in life. I have been in love with my beautiful wife, Tuna, for 18 years. She is Turkish, I am Portuguese, and Sahin, our son of whom we are very proud, is the fruit of that love.

The more you share, the more you grow… photographing a wedding allows me to share my experience as a photographer as I observe and capture one of life’s most important moments for a couple.

I offer something unique and personal. I believe in letting things happen naturally by themselves and in the beauty of individual moments. I am easygoing and friendly by nature, and this allows me to create the perfect environment in which to capture the moments and the memories that you will look back on in years to come.
